Safety tips

Buy and sell safely

Follow these guidelines on every deal. If something feels rushed or too cheap, walk away.

For buyers

Meet in a safe public place

Inspect the car in daylight at a busy location or an RTA-approved test centre. Bring someone with you and share your location with a friend.

Verify the documents

Check the Mulkiya (registration card) matches the seller's Emirates ID, confirm the chassis/VIN on the car matches the papers, and ask for the service history.

Get an independent inspection

Pay for a third-party check for accident history, chassis damage and outstanding finance or fines before you commit.

Never pay in advance

Don't send deposits, transfer money abroad or pay for shipping on a car you haven't seen. Complete payment only during the official ownership transfer.

For sellers

Screen buyers before test drives

Ask for the buyer's name and a valid UAE driving licence, keep a copy, and ride along during any test drive.

Accept only cleared payment

Cash at a bank, a manager's cheque verified with the bank, or a bank transfer you can see settled. Beware of screenshots and fake receipts.

Transfer ownership properly

Complete the transfer at an RTA/traffic department centre, clear all fines and finance first, and cancel your insurance only after the transfer is done.

Protect your personal data

Never share Emirates ID copies, bank details or OTP codes over chat. Sell Fast Car will never ask for your password.
